INBODY SCANNER (BIA)
Body Composition Analyser
What is an InBody 570 scan?
The InBody 570 Body Composition Analyser is an advanced Bio-electrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) machine that measures different parameters in your body composition.
Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) sends alternating low and high-frequency electrical currents through the water in the body via contact with electrodes to measure impedance.
The impedance is used to determine total body water (TBW), which can then be used to derive your fat-free mass—the portion of your body that does not contain fat, including your muscle and bone—and finally, body fat
How do we use the InBody here at TOMFIT?
The InBody scanner provides us with the ability to regularly and accurately measure body composition changes of our members. Key metrics such as Skeletal Muscle Mass (SMM) ,Body Fat Mass (KG) , Body Fat %, Visceral fat and several others measurements allow us to gain important insights into our members journey and provide tailored recommendations to help them reach their goals.
*We also offer non-member scans for just $45!
How do I get the most out of my InBody Scan?
Keeping your scan conditions as consistent as possible with provide you with the most accurate representation of your progress between scans. There are a number of variables that can impact how you scan, most of them can be negated by following the follow key points:
- Avoid training before your scan
- Scan at roughly the same time of the day (Ideally morning)
- Wear similar clothing for each scan
